Gerald Benjamin Cobb, 56, of Waymart, PA passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, PA. He worked as a Full Stack Developer for Amphenol Aerospace, Sydney, NY. Gerald was a Retired Sergeant First Class in the United States Army, attended The Waymart Church and Berean Baptist Church, was the current Most Puissant Grand Master of Grand Council of Royal and Select Master Masons of Pennsylvania, member of the Blue Lodge, Waymart Masonic Lodge #542, and many additional masonic affiliations. The son of the late Howard “Ike” and Sarah “Sally” (Lopatofsky) Cobb, he was born on June 10, 1965 in Carbondale, PA. Gerald leaves behind his wife of fifteen years, Amy Schermerhorn, children, John Cobb, Elizabeth Cobb, Zachariah Grace, Bethany Grace, Lyndsay Grace, Alexander Doblado, Emanuel Doblado; sisters, Helen Cobb and her partner Bob and Anita Lee and her husband Roger; brother, Mark Rodenburg and his wife Yuka and nephews. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, second father, Philip Rodenburg and sister, Sheryl Jordan. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in The Waymart Church, 596 Honesdale Road, Waymart, PA 18472 with Pastor Sal Maiorana officiating. Services will include a Masonic Funeral Service and Military Honors. Due to the current health crisis, there will be no visitation or receiving line. All are welcome to attend the funeral services; please be seated immediately upon entering the church. The family requires that everyone attending must wear a mask at all times on Sunday. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Waymart Church Furnace Fund, 596 Honesdale Road, Waymart, PA. 18472, or Berean Baptist Church, 33 Lincoln Ave, Carbondale, PA 18407. Interment will be private, and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Jenkins-Howell Funeral Home, Inc. 269 Belmont Street, Waymart, PA 18472, Edward R. Howell, Funeral Director, and Gerald's daughter, Lyndsay Grace, Funeral Director.
