Willis W. Wayman, Jr. 86, of Clinton Township, formerly of Waymart, passed away Monday morning, March 15, 2021 at Wayne Memorial Hospice after an illness. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, the former Lona A. Franklin.
Born May 16, 1934 in Simpson, he was the son of the late Willis W. and Edna (Spangenberg) Wayman.
Following his 1953 graduation from Waymart High School, Bill served in the United States Army from 1954-1956. Prior to retirement, he was employed by the U.S. Soil Conservation, Waymart Water Co and was a foreman at Wayco, Inc. for many years. Bill and Lona enjoyed many winters in Florida where together, they enjoyed the company of many friends. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the lights of his life. He loved watching all of their sports and activities and was their biggest cheerleader.
He is also survived by three children, Robin Beck and her husband Al of Waymart, Leighann Wildenstein and her husband Larry of Clinton Township, and James Wayman and his wife Joann of Vandling; seven grandchildren, Matthew Beck, Dennis Beck, Andrea Beck, Sarah Wildenstein, Caleigh Wildenstein (husband Jimmy Hernandez), Luke Wildenstein, and Kirra Buddie (husband Eddie); four great-grandchildren, Cyrus and Scarlet Buddie, Brooklyn Beck and Jeferson Hernandez; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Wayman. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Bill was also preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce Morcom and Gail Gillow; and a brother, Reginald Wayman.
The Family would like to thank Patricia and Jessica Noble for their wonderful care of Bill and the Staff of the Wayne Memorial Hospital ER and Hospice Departments.
Graveside Memorial Services will be held at Beach Lake Cemetery at a later date.
