William A. Doyle

William A. Doyle, 78, of Waymart died on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Allied Skilled Nursing in Scranton after a brief illness.

Born May 1, 1946 in Carbondale, he was the son of the late Elmer K. and Lucille E. (Allen) Doyle.

Bill was a 1964 graduate of Waymart High School. He went on to serve two tours of duty during the Vietnam war in the United States Army. Bill earned a bronze medal for his honorable and faithful service. Bill also graduated from Penn State University where he earned a degree in Forestry. He worked at S.J. Bailey and Sons where he was a maintenance mechanic for many years prior to his retirement.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no services at this time.

Following cremation, he will be laid to rest with his parents in Wheeler Hill Cemetery in Pleasant Mount.
