Thomas L. Bajadek, 88, of Honesdale passed away late Saturday night, December 14, 2024 at Clarks Summit Senior Living. His beloved wife of 50 years, the former Marie A. Ivory preceded him in death on February 24, 2014. They were married on May 25, 1963.
Born September 5, 1936 in Brooklyn, New York, Tom was the son of the late Leon Bajadek and Alice Stanislawa Kaminski Bajadek.
Tom served in the United States Army from 1960 until his honorable discharge from active duty in 1966. He worked for AT&T for many years as a satellite and communications technician prior to his retirement. He was an accomplished woodworker who enjoyed making many pieces that still exist today. He embraced his Polish heritage and passed those traditions on to his family. He enjoyed his time in the sun and his annual family trips to Ocean City, Maryland. Above all, Tom will be remembered for the dedication and love he had for his family. He will be missed tremendously by those who were blessed to have him in their lives.
Tom is survived by his four children: Debra Ellsworth of Clarks Summit and her fiancé, Mark Bajadek and his wife Tracy of Newfoundland, Andrea Powers and her husband Michael of Edison, New Jersey, and Jennifer Bajadek of Peckville; six grandchildren: Victoria Ellsworth, Vanessa Ellsworth, Joshua Bajadek, Nicholas Bajadek, Kaitlyn Powers, and Sidney Reinfurt Johnson and her husband Rick; and a brother, Leo Bajadek of Brooklyn, New York.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert.
The Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at St. Mary's Church, 242 Carbondale Road, Waymart, PA 18472 with Rev. Joseph Sitko and Deacon Edward Kelly officiating. Everyone attending is asked to go directly to the church on Thursday.

Interment with military honors will be on Thursday in St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery in Honesdale.
