Sharon E. Herzog

Sharon E. Herzog, 73, of Waymart passed away peacefully on Friday, May 1, 2020 at Wayne Memorial Hospital after an illness. Born November 1, 1946 in Carbondale, she was the daughter of the late Clayton Palestine and Ruth Amanda (Arnold) Blevins Sharon was a Certified Nursing Assistant in Kentucky prior to retirement. After retirement she moved back to Waymart to care for her mother. She enjoyed spending time with her cats, especially Lucy. She also enjoyed Church and Bible study and spending time with her family while sitting on the front porch. Sharon always enjoyed trips to the casino. Sharon also is helping others in her afterlife by donating her corneas to Lifesight. She was preceded in death by her ex husband Joseph Herzog and infant daughter Elizabeth Herzog. She is survived by a son, Vincent J. Herzog and his wife Connie of Waymart; two grandchildren, Helen Landmesser and her husband Douglas of Waymart, and Colton Herzog and his wife Kara of Soldotna, AK; a sister Arlene and her husband George Odincov. Also surviving are her niece Francine and two nephews Alex and Michael. Following cremation, memorial services will be held at a later date.
