Rosemarie Pellegrino

Rosemarie “Rosie” Loia Pellegrino, formally of Morristown, New Jersey, died Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Wayne Woodlands Manor in Waymart, Pennsylvania. She was born on August 18, 1928 in Morristown, New Jersey. She just celebrated her 91st birthday Sunday surrounded by her family.

She was married to Dominick “Tonto” Pellegrino. The couple married October 15,1950. She was the daughter of the late Tony and Rose Loia. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Louis, Mike, and Jerry.

Rosie was an avid Mets fan. She enjoyed sipping a highball, while listening to Kenny Rogers, “The Gambler”, and playing cards. She enjoyed trips to the casino and being surrounded by her family.

Rosie is survived by her brothers Johnny, from North Carolina; and Tony from Morris Plains New Jersey. Her daughter Bernice and her husband Daniel Rynearson from Honesdale, Pennsylvania. Her son Dominick Pellegrino JR and his wife Georgia from Randolph, New Jersey. Rosie has several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; also several  nieces and nephews.

Rosie was loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed by her family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jenkins-Howell Funeral Home, Inc. Edward Howell, Funeral Director, 269 Belmont St. Waymart, PA 18472.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
