Nancy Owens

Nancy Lee Owens, 76, of Huntersville, NC, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, September 9, 2022, with her family by her side. Nancy was predeceased by her loving husband, George (Roger) Owens in 1997. Nancy was born to the late Russel and Arline Kleinbauer, March 23, 1946 in Bloomfield, NJ. She graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1964 and Married Roger in 1965. She retired from Tri County Human Services in Carbondale, Pa. and moved to North Carolina to be closer to her family. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Conley and her husband Richard and her grandson, Roger Owens. She was also preceded in death by her son, Roger Owens in 1998; brother, Russell Kleinbauer in 2021; grandson, Owen Conley in 2022 and sister, Linda Bondeson in 2022. Nancy was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. She enjoyed gardening, baking and spending time with her family and friends. Each year everyone looked forward to her delicious Christmas cookies that were always made with love! One of her true favorite things to do was volunteering at the Cooperative Christian Ministry Food Pantry. Nancy always had a servant’s heart. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value other above yourselves. ~Philippians 2:3~ That is how Nancy lived her life. She will be lovingly missed and never forgotten. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Canaan Corners Cemetery, 242 Owego Turnpike, Waymart, PA. All attending are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
