Linda Maurer

Linda M. Maurer, 75, of Honesdale passed away unexpectedly, after an illness on Monday, June 12, 2023 at Geisinger Community Medical Center.  Her beloved husband, Lloyd R. Maurer, Sr. survives her.

Born March 5, 1948 in Fort Worth Texas, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Dorothy (Robinson) Marshall.

Lynn was a faithful and devoted Christian.  She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with all her heart.  Prior to her retirement, Lynn was a receptionist and secretary at Focus on the Family in Colorado. She was active in her church and especially enjoyed serving others through her gift of music.  Lynn was an accomplished pianist, organist, and soloist and used her abilities to glorify God in everything she did.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. 

She is also survived by two children:  Lloyd R. Maurer, Jr. and his wife Kelly of Shohola, PA, and Carice A. Grovet and her husband Ronald of Missouri; three grandchildren:  Alex, Matt, and Emmaleigh; a sister Karen May and her husband David of North Carolina; and a nephew, Rex.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at The Waymart Church, 596 Honesdale Road, Waymart, PA 18472 with Pastor Sal Maiorana officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lynn's memory to The Waymart Church, 596 Honesdale Road, Waymart, PA 18472.
