Kathleen M. Suierveld

Kathleen Suierveld, 72, of Waymart passed away peacefully at home on Saturday evening, February 4, 2017 after a courageous fight with cancer. She is now at rest in Heaven with her husband. Born on August 26th, 1944 in Kearny, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Francis (Dick) and Grace Roche. In 1972 Kathy moved to Waymart, PA with her 2 children. She married her late husband, Jake, in 1980 and they had two daughters. She and her husband owned Jakes Place in Waymart. Kathy worked in several factories in New Jersey as well as the Knitwear factory that was once in Waymart. She also worked several years at Ellen Memorial nursing home in Honesdale, PA. Her most praised job was as a homemaker to her family. She enjoyed making large meals for her family, taking trips to the casinos with her late husband, and completing puzzles in record time! Kathy's greatest joy came from spoiling and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her four children; Roger Romance, Kim Dixon, Nadine Miszler and spouse Andrew Miszler and Jackie Henshaw and spouse Joe Henshaw; her siblings, Frank Roche, Maurice (Butch) Roche and Margaret Donegan; and her grandchildren, John Dixon, Adam Dixon, Shawn Dixon, Bryson Miszler, Garrett Miszler, Hunter Henshaw and Zoey Henshaw. She was also preceded in death two sisters, Elizabeth McCormick and Marie Smith.
