Joyce Slish, 75, of Beach Lake passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at home. She is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Gary Slish. They were married on September 9, 1967.
Born July 26, 1946 in Rochester, New York, she was the daughter of the late Herbert “Roy” and Dorothy (Shantz) Goodrich.
Joyce graduated from Rochester Business Institute and was a medical secretary for Wayne Memorial Hospital and Women’s Health Care in Honesdale for many years. She was a member of the Beach Lake Free Methodist Church, and loved working with the children’s ministry, and also served on the hospitality committee. Joyce had a green thumb, and loved to plant and care for the beautiful flowers around her home. Always ready to host and care for others, she enjoyed the company of friends and family. Joyce blessed many others with countless gatherings, pool parties, picnics, campfires, and shopping trips. Her faith, and her family were of utmost importance to her. She loved and cared for each and every person she met, and will always be remembered in our hearts.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by two daughters: Jennifer Morgan, and her husband Tim of Cherry Ridge, and Tanya Turner and her husband Brian of East Greenwich, Rhode Island; four grandchildren: Molly and Mariah Morgan, and Cody and Benjamin Turner; her sister, Marilyn Rosa; brother, Greg Goodrich and his wife Tammie; and “sister” Elizabeth Burpee and her husband Bob.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 10:00 AM in the Beach Lake Free Methodist Church, 107 Milanville Road, Beach Lake, PA 18405 with Pastor Shane Haffey officiating.

Friends may visit on Friday, October 22, 2021 from 4-7 PM in the Beach Lake Free Methodist Church.
Burial will be private, in Beach Lake Cemetery, on Saturday.
