John K. Lowe, 83, of Beach Lake, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, October 18, 2021 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, after an illness.
The son of the late Rev. William G. Lowe and June E. (Lyons) Lowe, John was born on November 1, 1937 in Creekville, Kentucky. He married the love of his life, Betty Grace (Davis) Lowe, and they raised their family in Beach Lake. Betty preceded him in death in 2019.
John was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He served the community for more than 40 years both as a member of the Wayne Highlands School Board, and the Wayne-Pike Child Evangelism Fellowship. He retired after 33 years of serving as a Vice President and Loan Officer of a local bank in Sullivan County, New York. Following retirement, he enjoyed driving school bus for Wayne Highlands for 13 years; and he was a Volunteer Fire Police member for 14 years. John was a faithful member of the Tabernacle Bible Church. He leaves behind his children, Kevin (Colleen); Karen (Gary); Ellen (Steve); Susan (Peter); and Steve; 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Hailey; son, John Jr.; two daughter-in-laws, Myrta and Chassidy.
John will be greatly missed by the lives he has touched over the years.
