Matushka Jeanne Ann Ciarciaglino, 78, reposed in the Lord on December 16, 2024. She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 56 years, Archpriest Joseph, daughter Ann-Marie White (Chris), two granddaughters (Abigail and Caroline), three sisters (Barbara Coe, Dianne Wicks and Joanne Harder) and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents (John and Nellie Nault) and younger brother (Robert Nault).
Born in Delhi, N.Y. Jeanne grew up on the family farm. In 1967 she received her nursing degree from Albany Medical Center and quickly became the charge nurse of the pediatric intensive care unit at her Alma Mater.
Mat. Jeanne met her future husband the week she began nursing school and after a four year courtship they married in June of 1968. Within several weeks they moved to Fort Sill, OK where her new husband reported for active duty. One year later he was sent to Vietnam as a combat officer. Upon his return, they moved to Florida and Mat. Jeanne continued her nursing career while Father Joseph attended law school. She then helped run his law firm for many years while raising her pride and joy, Ann-Marie.
Jeanne was a woman of deep faith and was always involved in her parish. In 2005, she and Father Joseph (by then an Orthodox priest) were founders of Saint Philip the Apostle Orthodox Church in Tampa where she was the Matushka (Mother) to the parishioners. She served the members of the parish in all ways possible and cherished the close relationships with her church family. In addition, she was a driving force in helping Father Joseph establish a medical clinic in northern Uganda.
From pilgrimages to the Holy Land and many Orthodox countries to game drives in Africa and cooking classes in Thailand, Matushka Jeanne and Father Joseph traveled the world together. Their many adventures took them to all seven continents and countless countries.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to our Northern Uganda Medical Center www.ugandaclinic.org
