Howard J. Marshall

With heavy hearts, we announce Howard Joseph Marshall, aged 80, of Honesdale, Texas Township, passed away peacefully on Saturday night, June 8, 2024 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, after an illness.

Born on June 7, 1944, in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Joseph and Ella (Mooney) Marshall. Howard's career was with Whaleco Fuel Corporation as an oil burner mechanic until his retirement in 1992. He was a proud resident of Honesdale, PA and enjoyed his passions of fly fishing, photography and spending time with his friends and family. He loved being a husband, father, and grandfather.

Howard is survived by his wife of 23 years, Sandra (Kenyon) Marshall; son Scott Marshall and wife Deema; son Craig Marshall and wife Joan; step-daughter Samantha Kenyon; step-daughter Kristen Tyrrell and husband Chad; grandchildren Austin, Logan, Kevin, Aidan, Ashton, Avery, Landon, Hannah, Noah and lifelong friend Gerard Casey.

Family, friends, and others are invited to reminisce and honor the life of Howard on Monday, June 17, 2024 at Howell Family Funeral Home, Inc. Edward R. Howell, Funeral Director, 269 Belmont Street, Waymart, PA; Memorial Services will be held at 3:30 PM with Pastor Donald Perry officiating.

Visitation will be on Monday from 2:00-3:30 PM at the funeral home.
