Harry R. Curnow II, 87, of Gibson Township, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday night April 1, 2025 surrounded by the love of his beloved wife, the former Ruth M. Marsden and his dog and faithful companion, Delta.
Born January 21, 1938 in Simpson, he was the son of the late Harry R. Curnow and Lillian Klepp Curnow.
Harry was a hardworking and industrious man his entire life. In his youth, he worked alongside his father at the sawmill in the family lumber business. The work ethic that was instilled in Harry endured even after his father's death when Harry was a child. A faithful and devoted Christian, he was involved in church all his life. In his later years, he started an independent men's bible study which he enjoyed leading. Harry was a member of Carbondale Masonic Lodge #249, and enjoyed music; especially southern gospel and bluegrass. For many years prior to his retirement, he was a senior lead salesman of heavy equipment at B&K Equipment of Wyalusing. Harry had a special place in his heart for animals, and loved taking care of countless dogs and cats throughout his life. He will be fondly remembered as a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by two children: Harry Curnow, III of Taylor, and Wendy Besten and her husband Michael of Greenfield Twp; three step-children: Harrison Carpenter and his wife Marlene of Vandling, Stephen Carpenter and his companion Ruth Ann of Dundaff, and Phillip Carpenter and his companion Anna of Lake Ariel; six grandchildren: Courtney Mecca, Michael Besten, Jr., Harry Curnow IV, McKensie Curnow, Jordan Bednash, and Jakob Curnow; four step-grandchildren: Todd Carpenter, Matthew Carpenter, Andrew Carpenter, and Dylon Carpenter; five great-grandchildren; seven step great-grandchildren; a sister, Constance Curnow of Hilton Head, SC; and two brothers: Walter Curnow of Boston, Mass., and Frank Curnow of Daytona, FL.
He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Judy Oset Curnow who passed away on April 17, 2012; a step-son, Martin Carpenter; and a step-grandson, Harrison Carpenter.
A Masonic Funeral Service will Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, April 4, 2025 at the Lenoxville United Methodist Church, 4842 State Route 374, Lenoxville, PA 18441, immediately followed by the funeral service with Pastor Pat Hanley officiating.
There will be a viewing from 10:00 AM - Noon in the church on Friday morning.

Entombment will be Friday in the Old Colonial Mausoleum, Union Dale.
