Gordon W. Courter, Jr.

Gordon Walter "Bud" Courter, age 69 of Waymart died unexpectedly at home on Saturday June 18, 2016. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Lynda L. (Miller) Courter who died in December of 2012. Gordon was born on August 25, 1946 in Hackensack, NJ to the late Gordon W. Courter, Sr. and Adele Louise (Megnin) Courter of Waymart, PA. Gordon graduated from Waymart High School in 1964. He married Lynda L. Miller, his high school sweetheart in 1965. Gordon is survived by his sister, Beverley A. Owens, of Parker, Colorado. Gordon will be laid to rest alongside his beloved wife in Waymart Cemetery at Canaan Corners. A memorial service for Gordon will be held at a later date.
