Eugene R. "Skip" Mousley, 83, of Waymart died Wednesday morning, June 8, 2016 at Ellen Memorial Health Care Center, Honesdale after an illness.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, the former Ruth Savage. They were married on September 14, 1957 in St. Mary's Church in Waymart.
Born September 1, 1932 in Irvington New Jersey, he was the son of the late Howard S. and Marion (Perkins) Mousley.
Eugene served in the Third Armored Division of The United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Following his military service, he was employed at S.J. Bailey & Sons in Honesdale. He later worked for The Salvation Army at Camp Ladore in Waymart until he retired. Eugene was an
avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed many years outdoors following his retirement.
He is also survived by two sons: Eugene A. Mousley and his wife Debby of Honesdale, Eric Mousely and his wife Marlene of Waymart; seven grandchildren: Kimberly Graff and her husband Brian, Amanda Mousley, Jamie Mousley, Kristen Rubel and her husband Thomas, Ellen Gilbert and her husband Matt, Cassie Perry and her husband Terry, and Callie Mousley;
several great-grandchildren; a sister, Gail Kinzinger and her husband Gordon of Honesdale; two sisters-in-law: Lois and Betty Ann; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his son, John H Mousley; a sister, Eileen Schulz; and two brothers: Howard and William Mousley.
In accordance with his wishes, following cremation, private interment will take place in Canaan Corners Cemetery, Owego Turnpike, Waymart.
