Clyde R. Bunting, Sr.

Clyde R. Bunting, Sr., 93, of Waymart died peacefully on Thanksgiving Morning, Thursday, November 28, 2024 at home. His beloved wife, the former Joan M. Ogozaly preceded him in death on June 18, 2023.

Born July 15, 1931 in Honesdale, he was the son of the late Roswell Norton Bunting and Mabel Pauline (Dillemuth) Bunting.

Clyde was a graduate of Waymart High School, class of 1949. He later earned his Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Waymart, and the Waymart Masonic Lodge #542. Clyde enjoyed many years working in the aerospace industry for General Dynamics where he was a Manager of Engineering. During the majority of his career, Clyde resided in California while working on the Apollo and other aerospace projects before returning to Waymart upon his retirement. In 2004, Clyde and Joan happily moved into their home on Honesdale Road where they enjoyed nearly 20 years in the company of friends and loved ones.

Clyde was the father of three children: EllaMae Stakich, Barbara Ann Cavage, and Clyde R. Bunting, Jr.; he also had several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

His sister, Dorothy A. Spaulding also preceded him in death.

In accordance with Clyde's wishes there will be no public services.

Private inurnment will be in Clinton Center Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with his parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Clyde's memory to Waymart Mennonite School, 342 Honesdale Road, Waymart, PA 18472.
