Arlene Johnson-Arena

Arlene Johnson-Arena, 72, of Honesdale died unexpectedly Friday, December 23, 2016 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her husband, James Arena. Born May 20, 1944 in Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Harold & Agnes (Marcom) Schoneman. Arlene lived in New Jersey for many years before relocating to Wayne County. She was an avid reader and was a waitress before she retired. Arlene was an Elvis Presley fan. She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother, and will be greatly missed. She is also survived by two sons: Vincent Johnson and his wife Denise of Waymart and Richard Johnson and his wife Kimberly of Kingston; four grandchildren: Ashley, Kyle, Kevin, and Katie. A Memorial Blessing Service will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary's Church, 242 Carbondale Road, Waymart, PA 18472 with Rev. Joseph Sitko, Pastor, officiating. Private interment will be in Clinton Center Cemetery in the spring.
