Joyce J. Lagrosa

Joyce J. Lagrosa, 80, of Lake Ariel passed away Tuesday morning, February 7, 2023 at Wayne Woodlands Manor, Waymart, PA, after a long illness. Her beloved husband, James J. Lagrosa survives her. Joyce was born in Paterson, NJ to the late Anthony and Rose (Eppilito) Elia. She grew up in Fair Lawn. Joyce earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education and was an English Teacher for many years. A faithful Roman Catholic, Joyce was a member of St. Thomas More Church in Lake Ariel. She is also survived by three children: Dawn Lagrosa of Hamilton, NJ, Lawrence Lagrosa of Piscataway, NJ, and Gregory Lagrosa of Pittsburgh, PA along with her granddaughter, Esme Lagrosa, of Pittsburgh, and her sister, Lois Upper of Snowmass, CO. A Blessing Service will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the Howell Family Funeral Home, Inc., Edward R. Howell Funeral Director, 269 Belmont Street, Waymart, PA 18472 with Deacon Edward Kelly officiating. A Memorial Mass and Interment will be held in Piscataway, New Jersey on a date to be announced.
