Jean M. Angermeier

Jean Marie Angermeier, 67, passed away on January 22, 2023, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, after an illness. Her beloved husband, Willi K. Angermeier survives her. They were married on March 9, 1984 in Staten Island, NY. Jean was born on July 3, 1955 in Bronx, NY, to the late Walter Weissensee and Catherine (Muldoon) Weissensee. Jean graduated from St. Vincent's Medical Center of Richmond School of Nursing in 1975 where she earned her Diploma of Nursing. She went on to earn her licensure as a Registered Nurse in both New York State and in Pennsylvania. Jean spent most of her career as an operating room nurse at hospitals including the former Marian Community Hospital in Carbondale and Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Jean will always be remembered with love, and never forgotten. Jean is also survived by her children: Caitlin Jenkins and husband Kurt, Bryan Angermeier, Mark Angermeier and wife Jamie, and Daniel Angermeier; four grandchildren: Keegan, Linda, Leo, and Kennedy; sisters: Claire Jacobellis, Kay O'Brien, Margie Breslin and her husband Thomas, Maryanne Ford and her husband Steve; a brother, Edward Weissensee and his wife Theresa; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Karl and Ruth Angermeier.
