Donna Lee Gregor of Rileyville, passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 1, 2022 after a fall.
What do you say about someone who meant so much to so many? Born August 9, 1949 in Honesdale, Donna Lee was the daughter of Margery Box Gregor of Honesdale and the late Donald Gregor.
She was the first female installation and repair technician at Bell Telephone in Honesdale, where she worked until her retirement. Donna Lee was raised in and by the town of Honesdale, PA. That she had the best of everything was no coincidence -- the best friends, the best relatives, the best teachers, the best doctors, the best neighbors. Having been nurtured by so many local characters, Donna Lee approached every living being with love, respect, and amazing insight, which allowed her to communicate as well with animals as she did with people. She fiercely loved dogs, and music. Donna Lee played guitar and sang throughout her life, most recently with the Old Time Fiddlers. She will be forever loved and missed by her spouse, Judy Trudgen, mother Marge, many cousins and their families especially Kathryn, Tom and Andy Box, the Trudgen family, the Old Time Fiddlers, and all of us who became our best by knowing Donna Lee.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2022 from 3 to 6 pm at Fox Hill Farm, 297 Fox Hill Road, Honesdale, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Old Time Fiddlers, 17 Fiddler Lane, Equinunk, PA 18417 or Dessin Animal Shelter, 138 Miller Drive, Honesdale, PA 18431.
Arrangements are entrusted to Howell Family Funeral Home, Inc. Edward R. Howell, Funeral Director, 269 Belmont Street, Waymart, PA 18472.
